Boya BY-WM8 Pro Dual Channel UHF Wireless Microphone Kit

Ready to get started or make the switch?

These are the wireless mics we now use in our own productions at Strobepro. We used to use the Rode Filmaker kit for years, but the BOYA BY-WM8 Pro Dual-Channel UHF wireless system is just better. UHF transmission, more included accessories and in our experience we get cleaner audio that just edits better in post. Did we mention it’s also about half the price!?

What is it?

It’s a completely portable, camera-mountable wireless system for capturing wireless audio. It can be used in several environments for video, field recording, interview, broadcast TV, and more.

UHF-More Channels, Less Interference

UHF band wireless mics are able to accommodate more wireless channels than 2.4 GHz. It is difficult to fit more than 12 channels in 2.4 GHz. Plus, there is simply less spectrum available. About 80 MHz is up for grabs in 2.4, while more than 200 MHz is available in UHF.

So Easy to Set Up

If you’ve never used camera audio before, don’t worry because it couldn’t be easier.  The packs feature an easy to read LCD display, a wide switching RF bandwidth, a Mic/Line switchable input, and a rugged lightweight housing.

What’s in the Box?

The BY-WM8 Pro kit consists of 1-3 bodypack transmitters (choose from dropdown) with omni-directional lavalier microphones, and a camera-mount receiver. Also included with this system is a camera hot shoe mount adapter, a single 3.5mm to XLR output cable, a single 3.5mm to 3.5mm output cable, and a carrying case.

You’re Covered with Inputs and Outputs

The receiver is built with mic and headphone output jacks. The body pack transmitter includes a MIC jack and LINE IN jack.
