Intermediate Studio Lighting
Studio photography is the art of shaping light to fit your artistic vision. Just as a painter has an assortment of brushes, the studio photographer has a bewildering array of lighting modifiers to choose from. Softboxes, octaboxes, umbrellas, beauty dishes, gels, snoots, grids -- the list goes on and on.
Our intermediate studio lighting course will provide practical demonstrations of when and how to use a variety of special purpose modifiers. We will move beyond basic lighting theory, and get into some real specifics. Techniques will be demonstrated with tethered capture on a large display, and a professional live model.
Who is this course for?
It is not required for you to have taken our Intro to Studio Lighting course. However, we will cover a lot of material in the 2.5 hours, and we will not explicitly cover any theory, nor the basic operation of cameras, triggers, and strobes. This course is designed for the photographer who already has some experience in the studio, and wants to expand their repertoire of techniques.
Seats are limited, so sign up quickly! Our Intermediate Studio Lighting course will be capped at just 10 participants.
