The mount works as it should, however, the umbrella mounting hole is drilled through at an angle, forcing me to adjust the swivel. Not a big deal with an umbrella, but with a softbox that the stand goes into, it makes it awkward, as the opening in the box is only so big. Seems sturdy though. I would have got the other triple Stobepro offers, but it was out of stock. Looks like a nicer unit.
Good, very steady!
Overall this blows the cheap ones out of the water. The action is nice and smooth for installing the flashes and for tilt. Heavy duty metal where it counts.
I recently bought a Lastolite TriFlash by Joe McNally for over $100.00. It functions reasonably well, but does nothing extra to justify its high cost. In fact, the Lastolite bracket mounts higher in the umbrella resulting in somewhat uneven light coverage. The Strobepro mounts centrally on the umbrella rod and gives more even coverage. The Strobepro bracket offers Good build quality and It works as advertised. Also, as usual, the price was excellent. Strobepro pricing makes it difficult to purchase similar items anywhere else!
Solid and rugged design that worked well for me. No issues what so ever.
