Works as intended to protect your bulbs during travel. Little tight to get in and out of its place tho. Could but a little less snug if that make sense.

It's an aluminum tube that protects your bare bulb... what else do you want it to do, play the flute for you? Seriously, there's no real "review" here other than - it's the only secure way of travelling/moving your AD200 WITH a BARE BULB attached. I got these cuz I found myself constantly putting the bare bulb on, but the carry case for the AD200 only allows your store the unit with the fresnel head attached. Instead of wearing out the bulb connectors, avoid constantly manipulating/touching the bulbs, and to speed set up time - love having my AD200's already set up and ready to go with bare bulbs, while being well protected.

But essential. Protecting the bare bulb in transport might seem unlikely, but dont take the chance! Spend the fifteen bucks for peace of mind.

The lamp cover is handy, I would highly recommend having one.

I use my X-200 with both the flash head and bulb. If often interchanging or just using the bulbs I would highly recommend these as it avoids you constantly needing to touch the bulb, which you shouldnt do with bare hands, plus protects them.

For space I store two of my X-200s in my larger Lowepro backpack bag, as they are almost the exact same size as my old Canon 600 speedlights. I then throw in the bulb heads with bulbs attached and the cover on them in a smaller compartment. Now its a real quick swap when I need to switch heads.

The only future critique may be the right fit between the metal edges of the protector and the rubber locking mechanism for the reflector or other modifiers. If you werent gentle in the placing and twisting of the lamp cover I could see it eventually tearing the rubber component after repeated wear.

Better protection than nothing

Love this strobe. Great when you don't need a lot of light. Easy to carry around. Great for hair light or a separation light. Battery seems to last forever.

The X200 is a great little, take everywhere, light. Pros: - light and portable, - HSS, - TTL, - simple to control remotely, - easy to switch between bare bulb or speedlight head Cons: - it is really tight fit to mount it inside speedlite flash bracket ( I decided not to remove it once mounted ) - I would love to be able to connect my XB45 battery to it

Great service great product

You need this if you have the X200, especially if you shoot with the strobe head. Fits perfectly and secures very tight to minimize the possibility of damaging your light.

I have not the pleasure of using the ad200 as it has not arrived at Strobepro as I have not been called to pick it up...so I can not give a review of the products I bought to accompany the light..

Solid. Simple. Inexpensive. Great idea to protect your flash.

Not much to write about. Easy to use, just push in and twist to protect the bare tube on the AD360.
