- La plupart des objectifs Nikon F récents ne disposent pas de bague d'ouverture ni de position fermée, ce qui limite considérablement l'éclairage. Vous pouvez acheter notre adaptateur combiné séparément pour contourner manuellement ce problème, mais vous devez sélectionner l'adaptateur Canon EF dans le menu déroulant lors de la commande de votre kit Snoot optique II.
- Il est déconseillé d'utiliser une lampe pilote pendant une période prolongée. Le snoot optique peut devenir chaud au toucher.

An optical snoot is something I had been considering for quite some time now, and having finally purchased this unit I shake my head wondering why I waited so long. In order to appreciate why I'm enjoying it so much, let me lay out the reasons why I ended up buying the unit from Strobe Pro:
- easy to quickly change the speed ring. I use Paul C Buff studio lights as well as Aputure video lights. I am thrilled with the performance of both, however they both require different mounts, and the thumbscrews on this unit make it VERY quick to flip back and forth should the situation call for doing so (and it has at this point).
- the 50mm lens. As far as I know there are no optical snoots that allow for the use of Sony E mount lenses, I no longer have any canon lenses laying around, and 50mm seemed to me to be a very versatile distance of throw for this in my small studio setup and having now received the unit, my suspicions were correct
- the subtle changes and upgrades from the first version of this unit are well received and necessary, and give me confidence buying into the system
- SO MANY gobos
- excellent customer service and advice
I would love to see a second and third lens released for this unit, maybe something 50% shorter and something 50% longer but make no mistake if there is to only be one, I'm convinced that 50mm is ideal. In the hand the entire unit feels well constructed and able to stand up to fast paced shooting environment knocking and jostling. As of this purchase, I believe my first from StrobePro, I will now be looking into switching out most of my light modifiers so that I can quickly move between Balcar and Bowens mounts.

Overall it's a great product. It does require a lot of light when using this product because it's not that efficient, so an AD600 pro is my recommendation because the modeling light is brighter than the normal AD600. I had to crank up the modeling light to 100% to see where the light was going during normal lit room. If you plan on using it in a dark room, then you can get away with the normal ad600.

Bought this about a year ago and am totally in love with it. Have not used it for many commercial shoots but for creatives, it gives endless possibilities. The only (somewhat major) downside is that it only comes in a box, not with a decent bag. I'd happily pay $50+ extra just to not have to deal with trying to fit it back inside the box each time.

The kit arrived on time and immediately on opening the box, realized this was a high quality item with a well thought-out collection of GoBo's and gels to compliment the creative potential offered. Before purchasing, reviewed the provided videos and they were, extremely accurate and helpful. Once again, the StrobePro folks have created a winner!

I owned the previous version of this one but I had to return it due to the massive light losses. This iteration has addressed all of those problems and works great.

This product is very well built and easy to use. There are cheaper options out there but you get what you pay for. The other options are not as well made or sharp.

I have had limited practice with the snoot kit yet but my first impressions are that it is well built and comes with nice gobos and color filters. My primary criticism at this point is that the gobo holding plate mechanism is very stiff and near impossible to turn once inserted. It may loosen up with usage, only time will tell, but so far alignment (rotation) of the projected image is inconvenient (remove/adjust/reinsert/pray).
I wish the available lens could be a small zoom (say 35mm - 70mm) to allow some studio dimensions and placement flexibility. Ideally, a m42 thread would open the way to mounting a bunch of vintage lenses.

Does what it says it does and does it well.
From a design point, the gobo holder is a bit weak a the user has to get the holder aligned with three slots. Same comment with rotation of the snoot itself requires user to loosen four thumb screws. As I don't use it all the time, I can live with these deficiencies, but please fix these issues in the next version.

Product is built well and works great. Shipping was ridiculously fast. Only concern is using the gels with my LED video lights. They get too hot for the gels provided. Otherwise a beautiful product.

The Strobepro is well made and well designed. I purchased a number of accessories to use with the optical snoot. The only shortcoming is the limited number of gobo designs available directly from Strobepro. The gobo holder will hold 58mm round gobos in addition to the Strobepro rectangular gobos. Strobepro really needs to design a readymade gobo holder that will accept the M size 66mm gobos made by Rosco and other companies. There are hundreds of gobo designs available in the common 66mm M size gobo.

The Optical Snoot will require some practice to make the best use of it. I tested it once in the studio so far. Observations are that 1. It saps a lot of light power. Using a Godox 400 ws strobe, required me to increase the ISO significantly greater than I would normally want to shoot in the studio. If I move the unit closer to the subject in order to increase the light power, it naturally changes the effect. I'll have to find the sweet spot over time.
Also, the Strobepro 50 mm lens was a bit temperamental when it came to focusing.
The general construction of the unit seems good and I'm sure that I'll be happy with it over time.
