I'm back, Review No2. I haven’t had the The 47" Rapid Deep that long but my experience with it so far is very positive. I tested it with the Godox 400II and the Godox MS300V Strobes and I am very happy with the results. It is well built, with quality materials, and the set up really is as easy as shown in the YouTube videos.

Regarding the Strobepro Parabolic Softbox Focus Bracket, it’s VERY solid and VERY well built, the quality is fantastic, and I do recommend it! Unfortunately, nothing in life is perfect and so I have two very minor things to mention that may help someone. Point 1, In order to get my Softbox to lock securely on the Focus Bracket, it was necessary to back off the Focus Bracket mounting lock **** (IMG_1) a couple of millimetres to allow the locking pin (IMG_2 and 3) to engage the Bowens mount and secure the Softbox.

Point 2. (IMG 5) It may be necessary to remove some paint from the inside of the Focus Bracket mount or from your stand. My Focus Bracket did not fit until I removed some paint to allow for fit.

So, there you have it, a turn of a **** and a little paint removal, nothing to cry about. VERY minor issue and easy fix.

At the end of the day, I’m extremely happy with the product and the service I have received. Strobepro will continue to be my go to supplier for great gear.

The soft box puts too much strain on my light bracket. It is hard to adjust and does not always stay on position. I hardly ever use it because of this factor. While the light it throws is good, I cannot take advantage of it because of the weight. For that, it is a waisted piece of gear for me.

Excellent. It was ordered on Tuesday and arrived in the UK the following Monday morning. Very pleased with the item, it does the same job as an item 5 x the price!

The feel of the light from this modifier is wonderful! Its hard to explain the crispness, but still, soft falloff of light. I have used both direct and indirect lighting with it. The build quality is very good and sturdy . I very much love this soft box. The only thing that is aggravating is that the stays fall out of the holders when you release the tension. Overall worth that tiny bit of trouble.

It does everything advertised at a fraction of the cost of the expensive brands. Spend more time taking pictures and less time paying off expensive/overpriced equipment.

The 47 rapid deep parabolic softbox is exactly what I need for my Godox Ad600 on location shoots. I shoot mainly single and group portraits and this softbox is quick to set up, very durable, and allows me to control light spill. Thanks!

Using this product has been a huge upgrade from my old rectangular softbox. Construction is solid, materials are holding up well and I love the ability to set up and take down very quickly. The quality of light this produces is also amazing. Very sharp, better color saturation and the soft shadow roll off looks great. Very happy with this softbox.

This is a great product. Soft, beautiful light thanks to the design and double diffusers. Easy enough to assemble and disassemble. High build quality. I recommend this softbox.

Not quite as rapid to setup/tear down as the other rapid pro soft boxes (and its quite heavy) but it seems to be good quality and for sure good value. Best if you have ample studio space to work with.

I love the design and the quality of the equipment. You can tell that it is built tough, and that it will last a long time. The most thing that attracts me to it is the center rod that slides your strobe head in and out to control the focus of the light. That's what make the deep parabolic so attractive.

The 47" Rapid Deep Parabolic Softbox is a wonderful modifier, and I'm also very pleased with the support I have received from Strobepro too. I got a call from a support rep right after I ordered it and he warned me that some folks had experienced trouble with the weight of the device being a bit too much for the Einstein mount. Now, that is proactive. But I was willing to risk it and I am very glad I did.

I used it at a recent studio shoot for some lingerie/fashion/art images and the wonderful definition of body contours, the deep edge blacks and the glimmering highlights together produce fabulous dimensioned shots.

I encountered no problems with the deep para holding fast in the Einstein mount (Alien Bees/Balcar). I tested it first at home before taking it into the studio, so I have had it on a couple of lights now and have had a chance to set it up and tear it down a few times.

Negative: loosening the rods for folding up takes almost more effort than my poor hands and fingers can muster. I'm sure I will work out a way to do this more quickly eventually, but wow! Pulling up on a support rod while sliding the spring-loaded doohickeys one-handed is a major achievement.

Ive only used it for one shoot so far so Im hesitant to say its my favorite modifier, but its my favorite modifier! Haha. Strobepro always has fantastic products and this is no exception.

Provides a beautiful light. It's also very vestal, you have several options by removing some or all diffusers and it always looks amazing.

Much more than I expected in the build quality and the light quality. I will be ordering more of my lighting needs from Strobepro.

While I have tried several softboxes out, being regular & deep in shape. I prefer the deep design personally. This softbox is built with very extreme high quality & it shows right away. The light output is fantastic & I find it to be very soft in the manner that I use it. This has to be one if not the top build quality in a softbox that I have seen that does not break the bank yet gives you the best band for your buck. It has grown to be my prefered product to use which is why I had to order some additional ones in other sizes.

I have wanted a deep octobox for a long, long time, but the strobes that I have would not accommodate the only available deep octobox that was made for Elinchrom strobes. Strobepro made it possible for me to not only have a deep octobox that fits a Bowens mount (or other mounts) but it is also a very mobile modifier and brilliantly designed. The work I've been creating, since buying it, has been a dream come true :)

Setting up the soft box was very simple,. but best of all was how soft the light coming from it was. While the one I went with is pretty large in size I love it for portrait work inside & outdoors.

Honestly, hands down one of the simplest modifiers I've ever used.
