What’s New in the AD300Pro II

The AD300Pro II introduces several major enhancements over the original AD300Pro, giving photographers more control, more accuracy, and faster workflow options. Key upgrades include:

    • 10-Stop Power Range – Now adjustable down to 1/512 (previously 1/256).
    • New Colour Screen- Large colour screen is easy to read in bright conditions.
    • RGB Indicator Lights- 2 RGB indicators show what group you're on.
    • 0.1-Stop Precision – Finer power control for exact exposure matching.
    • Freeze Mode – Action-freezing t0.1 durations down to 1/24,390 s.
    • Color-Stable Mode – Improved colour consistency across the entire power range.
    • 12 W Bi-Color Modeling Lamp – Brighter LED with CRI 97/TLCI 98 at 2800–6000K.
    • 16 Color-Coded Groups – Group colours appear directly on screen for quick multi-light management.
    • One-Tap Sync – Instant pairing with the new Godox X3 trigger.
    • Refined Ergonomics & Interface – Improved screen layout, metal dial, and menu structure.

    Choose Your Speedring Mount

The Godox AD300 Pro II comes with a Godox mount which is not very useful because most people have Bowens/Strobepro or other modifiers.  This is quickly solved by selecting either the directly attached adapter or the S2 Bracket.  Be sure to choose one from the dropdown at checkout. You can also add Profoto, Elinchrom, and Broncolor direct adapters.

    Pro Performance, Anywhere

Building on the original AD300Pro, the AD300Pro II adds a wider 10-stop power range (1/512–1/1), more precise 0.1-stop control, a refined body design, and upgraded firmware with Freeze and Color-Stable modes. You get up to 350 full-power pops per charge, 0.01–1.5 s recycle times, and HSS up to 1/8000 s, giving you the flexibility to overpower midday sun or create subtle fill on overcast days.

One-Tap Sync and 16 Color Groups

The AD300Pro II is built around the Godox 2.4 GHz X system with 32 channels, 16 groups, and 99 IDs for interference-free operation. Pair it with the optional X3 trigger for one-tap sync—press sync on both devices and you’re linked without diving into channels and IDs. Each group can be assigned a distinct color on the AD300Pro II’s display, so you can see your group layout at a glance, even across a complex multi-light setup.

    12 W Bi-Color Modeling Lamp

A built-in 12 W bi-color LED (2800–6000K) with 10–100% brightness lets you preview your light, match ambient conditions, or add a bit of practical continuous light for video or BTS content. With CRI 97 and TLCI 98, the modeling lamp provides accurate colour rendition for hybrid photo/video workflows.

    Freeze Mode and Color-Stable Mode

Freeze mode delivers t0.1 flash durations as short as 1/24,390 s, ideal for capturing motion, splashes, and action sports. Color-Stable mode keeps colour temperature consistent across the entire power range, making it easier to match multiple heads and maintain uniform skin tones throughout a shoot.

    Compact, Intuitive Design

Weighing just 1.2 kg (2.6 lb) with the battery and measuring only 7.36 × 3.94 × 3.54", the AD300Pro II fits easily into most camera backpacks. A bright colour screen and smooth metal control dial make on-head control straightforward, while clearly labelled buttons and a clean menu system keep you moving quickly between modes.

Built for the Godox X Ecosystem

The AD300Pro II plays nicely with the full Godox X lineup—AD100Pro II, AD200Pro II, AD400Pro II, AD600Pro II, V-series speedlights, and more. Use XPro II, X2T, X1, or the new X3 trigger (brand-matched) to unlock TTL, HSS, Multi, Freeze, and advanced group control across your entire lighting kit.
