The tape is great. It sticks! I lost a roll of Rosco gaffer tape on a shoot that I had bought from Vistek. I was ordering other supplies from Strobepro so I added one to my cart. It was $2 cheaper than what Vistek was selling Roscos for but to be quite honest you get way more in a Rosco roll. So its worth it to spend the extra 2 bucks. Granted you just have to watch for sales from the two companies. Its a minor thing really and above all I love what Strobepro does and prefer to shop from them.

I had bought brackets and the 10 foot holder. When installing it one end fell out of the bracket and broke the crank. I took it to Jessy and they replaced it with a brand new end at no charge. It was really my fault that made it slip out. The service was fantastic. I was treated like a King.

Sure, its gaff tape. But gaff tape usually can be relied on to stick to surfaces like carpet, which this tape does not.

I was originally put off by the price, since it's 5x the price of duct tape. however, unlike duct tape, this is easy to tear with one hand, and doesn't leave a sticky, messy residue when removed.
Worth the price.

Great product. Great grip strength and easy enough to remove without leaving behind residue. Haven't used it outside, but it feels like it would repel at least a bit of water.

It does what its supposed to do for the most part. Its tape. But it does leave sticky goo on my laminate studio floor that I have to scrape off. The fabric gaffer tape did this too, but this plastic gaffer tape leaves more. Not a big deal and a great price for a product I use all of the time.

The tape is similar to gaffer tape but it's not gaffer tape and falls short in several ways. 1, it tears easily but not as cleanly as gaffer tape 2, the stickiness is similar to gaffer tape but it's not quite sticky enough, for example, we tried taping seamless to a carpeted floor and within a few minutes the tape had come undone from the short business carpet - gaffer tape stays put till it's peeled off 3, it a plastic or vinyl tape not cloth, therefore, it's a bit shiny (bad) and regular pens can't write on it (bad) but we were able to write on it with a sharpie (good). Bottom line, I wouldn't buy it again.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Our own studio use and feedback from other customers has been very positive. Our tape does have some different characteristics compared to traditional tape which is why it can be used all weather. As far as being reflective, it does have some poly but is quite matte. See pictures of black and white below in harsh overhead lighting. Feel free to return it and we'll give you a full refund. Sometimes we just like what we're used to and that's no problem at all. Much better than the Savage brand. Had very poor adhesion with that one and this one is SO much better. Adheres, but still removes nicely.
