The only issue is as the fabric is white on one side and black on the other, as one single piece, resulting in a loss of brilliancy on the white side. However it does unfold well without wrinkles unlike if it was two individual pieces. But it’s well worth the price, unless you absolutely need brilliant white.

Backdrop I received is not properly straight & in order to return it or claim warranty I am being asked to pay for the shipping that adds up to $180 (to & from shipping). So I would rather buy from a big box store that doesnt punish the customers for their faulty products.

If you need 3/4 shots, or you want your subject further away from the background to limit light-spill, this is a great option. Well made, packs down to a relatively small size, and is so easy to set up and tear down (once you watch a video or two haha). Ill steam-clean it or use wrinkle-releasing spray to ensure no wrinkles at all, but the fabric is quite easy to work with.

Practical and very useful! I use it for interiors.
Just in case, do practice how to open and close it before you do it in front of a client or the client may think you're having a "seizure"... The 8x8 takes some practice to "tame". ;)

I have a 5ft x 7ft black and white back drop and its great but at times I found it was not quite big enough.
The 8ft x 8ft is exactly what I was looking for.

This backdrop does EXACTLY what I needed it to do which is to be a good, solid filming backdrop for my studio. It is GIGANTIC which makes it quite hard to move around my yourself but with a little help, it's not too hard to manage. Folding it up wasn't actually that difficult either. I can't tell you how long I searched for a simple black backdrop that wasn't cheap fabric or reflecting nylon. It is CRAZY how hard it was to find something and I am very grateful I did. Great product.

I photograph interiors and often need to block out reflections in glass. I needed something fast and lightweight that holds its form. I originally ordered the 8x8 and was so impressed that I placed a second order for the smaller version. My only suggestion for the manufacturer would be to use a thicker black fabric. What you have works great 95% of the time but in retail spaces a little light can seep through. Wonderful product nonetheless!

I just purchased this backdrop and received it in pretty good time. I have now shot with it a couple times and it worked perfectly.
The build quality is excellent and folds up fairly easy despite its massive size.
Great for single and multiple subject shoots. Also great for high and low key photography.
Now I just need a size smaller.

It was my first time dealing with Strobepro.com and I was pleased to see the quality of this backdrop. The frame is solid and the material is opaque and wrinkles-free. They also offer a very good hands-on customer service and fast shipping.

The only downside I see from this backdrop is also one of its pros. It's size is a bit problematic when it's time to fold it back and pack it. Otherwise, it is perfect and I am extremely happy when the purchase.

Its so big , but this big backdrop is simple tho carryon et install.

Big background, needed my wife to help me. A bit wrinkly but if given enough time to relax pretty sure most would disappear or we can steam/iron it out. Would love for Strobepro to make a video on folding the big 8x8 and any tips to do so.

As advertised...... must be careful when opening and is a challenge to close being how big it is. Great for portable use when required.

Great for setting up at any location to get a nice clean backdrop. Ive used it several times at my studio as well as on location and its way easier and faster than setting up a paper backdrop.

I needed a large portable backdrop, and the 8 foot size is perfect for me. I wasn't sure just how portable this would be, but after watching the video Strobepro has on how to fold one if these it really is pretty straightforward - and I can do it myself if need be. Great value with a white and black side. I use this both in studio and for on-location group shots.

simple easy to use, best bang for the buck! I don't have to bring my back drop sets anymore for a simple white background!

This backdrop is large enough to back most shoots yet compact enough to fit in a small studio. Shooting both Low Key and High Key lighting is as simple as turning the backdrop around. Folds up into a thin 36" disc for easy storage.

I love the backdrop and the fact that it is portable is great!

It's easy to handle and good quality. But its little too big for what i use. 6'x 7' will be ideal size for me.

It's overall just awkward. Difficult to fold up and isn't what I need.

I always get excellent help from the knowledgeable staff, and the purchase process is effortless.

Excellent for quick setup for portraits

This thing is massive! The frame is fairly thick, however, so it holds its shape well when deployed. Getting it folded back up is a bit of a struggle - it helped to have an assistant; but that's to be expected with something this large. I might need to get the 5x7' one as well, for rooms that don't have 8' ceilings.
