Godox FP-R Flash Projector Round Kit (36°)

    FP-R

Shape Round-Head Flash with Precise Projected Light

The Godox FP-R Flash Projector Round Kit 36° turns compatible Godox round-head flashes into a compact projection system for controlled shapes, patterns, and accents. The included 36° lens provides a practical medium beam angle for portraits, product photography, and creative work in the studio or on location.

    The Strobepro Difference

All Strobepro equipment comes with our in-house warranty and industry-leading support. We stock parts, we use our products, and we're here to help before and after the sale. Your FP-R ships from Canadian inventory and is backed by our Calgary-based team.

36° Projection Lens for Balanced Coverage

The included 36° lens balances projection size with working distance, making it a versatile starting point for both pattern projection and shaped light. The lens can be swapped for optional 19° or 50° SP-series projection lenses when you need a tighter or broader beam.

Four Shutter Blades for Geometric Light Shaping

Four built-in shutter blades let you cut the beam into rectangles, triangles, narrow strips, and other custom geometric shapes without adding another accessory. This makes it easier to place a clean highlight on a face, product, or background while keeping spill away from the rest of the scene.

Rotate Patterns Without Removing the Gobo

The shutter assembly rotates through 360°, so you can adjust the angle of a projected shape or gobo while the projector remains mounted. The included SP-CF holder accepts size M gobos, and the supplied gobo set gives you pattern options out of the box. Optional SA-09-001, SA-09-002, SA-09-003, and SA-09-004 gobo sets expand the available pattern choices.

Expandable Control with Gels and an Iris

The FP-R supports optional slide-in colour and diffusion gels through the SP-CTF colour frame. An optional SP-ID iris diaphragm can vary the diameter of a circular projection for tighter highlights or wider coverage. The gobo holder and iris use the same accessory slot, so they cannot be installed at the same time.

Made for Compatible Godox Round-Head Flashes

The FP-R is the round-head model in the Godox Flash Projector family. It is compatible with the Godox AD100Pro, AD100Pro II, V1, V1Pro, V100, and V1mid round-head speedlites, H200R, AD200Pro with round flash head, and AD200Pro II with a compatible round flash head. Choose the FP-M version instead for compatible square-head flashes; the projector body is not universal between round and square flash heads.

    Real World Use

Create a window pattern behind a portrait, cut a narrow strip of light across a subject, add texture to a plain background, or isolate a product with a defined pool of light. Because the system works with portable flashes, these effects can be built on location without bringing a dedicated continuous-light projection fixture.

    Godox FP-R Flash Projector FAQ

Does the FP-R kit include a flash?

No. This kit includes the projector, 36° lens, mounting bracket, gobo holder, gobo set, carry bag, and manual. A compatible Godox round-head flash is required and sold separately.

    Which flashes fit the FP-R?

Godox lists the AD100Pro, AD100Pro II, V1, V1Pro, V100, and V1mid round-head speedlites, H200R, AD200Pro with round flash head, and AD200Pro II with a compatible round flash head as compatible. The linked H200R fits the AD200 and AD200Pro but does not fit the AD200Pro II. Square-head flashes require the FP-M projector instead.

What does the 36° lens change?

The lens determines the projection angle. The included 36° lens provides medium coverage; optional 19° and 50° lenses provide tighter and broader projection angles respectively.

Can I use a camera lens on the projector?

No. Although the projector uses an EF-style optical lens mount, Godox specifically warns against substituting a camera lens because heat may damage it. Use the dedicated Godox SP-series projection lenses.

Can the gobo holder and iris be used together?

No. Both accessories use the same slot, so the SP-CF gobo holder must be removed before installing the optional SP-ID iris diaphragm.

Does the FP-R need its own power or controller?

No. The FP-R is a passive optical attachment. Flash power, triggering, and exposure control come from the compatible flash and your existing flash control system.

How should the FP-R be supported?

The kit includes an AD-E2 bracket, and the projector has a 1/4-inch threaded mounting hole for stand support. Supporting the projector on a stand keeps the flash and optical assembly stable while you position the effect.

Are there heat limitations during repeated full-power use?

Yes. Godox warns that the projector surface can become hot after more than 50 consecutive full-power flashes. Allow the unit to cool and use insulated gloves if handling it while hot.
