I decided I wanted to have a core in my short paper rolls and these work great. from my research they are the best value to be had for this type of solution. Best part is, the way they are put together allowed me to use 2 poles to make 3 for my shorter rolls in my smaller space.

These poles make it so easy to hand your backdrops without the creases of when you use just clamps, I have set up all my backdrops with these and they rise and lower so easy thanks

I originally purchased the 3 piece background core to use in my small extra bedroom studio but found the space too limiting so I purchased a second set to use one additional section to fully span my main living room using two floor to ceiling tension type poles to hold the core, turning my entire apartment into a studio. The two extra sections left over work with 53 inch background rolls offering additional background set up options. The fact that these are light weight yet sturdy give me the assurance that I wont have any issues with reliability. Very pleased with this purchase.

If you are using paper backdrops, the background aluminum core is a must have. They keep your rolls from sagging which destroys your rolls. This allows you to keep your rolls ready vs having to take them down to store them when not in use. The other great thing is that you can buy extras to keep in rolls you are not using to protect them as well.

If you buy the aluminum core pieces to hold paper - be aware that they are ten feet in width. The extra foot changed my initial room plan. The unit is easy to move. I bought adhesive levels and stuck them on the sides to help with straightness.

Tried first mounting my stands on PVC pipe from rona which was over $20 per roll. The pipe sagged really bad with the weight of the green screen but this was perfect. Highly recommend!

Does it work with 86" savage paper?
Yes it does. Most people just have some of the pipe extending out each side. If you only plan to use 86" paper you can easily cut the tube to length with a metal hand saw.

If using these cores with wall mounted background holders and rollers, how far apart would the brackets need to be mounted?
The total length is 118.5" for the core. I would add 1.5" on each side for the roller. You can also cut the core down if you need it to be a specific width.Thanks

Will this work with the 107 Savage Seamless Roll, in specfic to the OD of the Aluminum Core to the ID of the Savage Cardboard Roll.

The 3 piece aluminum background core...will it work if I only want to put up 7 foot rolls? Can I have the wall mounts closer together and take a section of the core out or does it have to be the 3 sections?
Yes you could take a section out or you can easily cut it to length with a hack saw.
