I work out of my home and I needed a way to mount my backdrops without putting a ton of holes in the wall. I would have loved to mount it from the ceiling, but with the popcorn ceiling it wasn't ideal. The autopole is such a better way too do it than lightstands which stick out way further and they can become a tripping hazard for my clients. With the power lifting shaft instead of the ones that come with the kit, my studio looks extra professional and I love not having to run back and forth to use a chain to lift and lower the paper. Awesome product!

The set arrived in good time!
I am NOT handy at all, but I was able to assemble most of it on my own! Woohoo!
I just needed help with actually lining up the poles.
My ONLY complaint is that thought the pulley chains would be metal and they are plastic.
AND they are all the same colour. But still 5 stars because Im very happy with the quality!!!

The autopole system is a fantastic tool for your backdrops. You can customize it to fit almost anywhere in your home and to accommodate almost any size backdrop. I would suggest buying an adjustable cross bar for your backdrops to help prevent bowing over time. Other than that it's a sturdy, well made and welcome addition to any home studio.

Quick and easy to install and operate. The only caveat we bumped into which could be improved is when you use a background that is heavy (we use velvet backgrounds), a locking mechanism on the chain would be useful. We simply opted for jamming a pen in the chain near to pulley to stop it from unwinding the background all the way. It works great for the green screen we also have as it is lighter. I am sure it works great for paper rolls as well which I keep in mind as an option for future setups.

This has changed my studio experience so much. The ease of use and flexibility of changing backgrounds and it impresses my clients and team. Everyone has told me what a great investment it is. I live outside the US so shipping it was a bit pricy but it was definitely worth it!

Just like everything else from Strobepro it's a good quality product at a decent enough price and fast shipping.
My only gripe is shipping isn't free and they use Purolator which never ever delivers and I always have to go pick it up.

I had ordered autopoles from a large US store and they arrived missing the end pieces, and after 11 months I still hadn’t received the missing pieces to make them usable so I ordered these ones from strobepro as well. The missing pieces came in a few months later, so I can do an exact comparison
and can say I see absolutely no difference between these and the much more expensive brand name version purchased, and had a way better buying experience. These are a studio must have!

I want to know, if I use these stands in combination with 3 aluminum tubes and 3 9x36' seamless paper backdrop, which I want to fix on these stands on a permanent basis, i.e. they will always be fixed, will I have problems with this structure and will the stands withstand such a constant load? For example, for a year.
The stands can handle the weight without a problem. They are designed to take this weight easily.

How wide a background can these manage?
You can space them to whatever width you want as long as the support crossbar you are using is strong enough. If you're using paper then it's no problem for the largest 9' width.

I want a portable system for a small room where I can set up as needed. How do I modify the kit to use 1 paper roll at a time?
You don't have to modify anything. You can just load one lifting shaft instead of 3. Just select one lifting shaft set in the kit if that is all you need.<br/>Thanks
