A technological feat of engineering. Well not really, it's just a sandbag but it works really well. Throw this guy on any stand as an added weight for heavy softboxes.
Dual zippers and reinforced stitching.
1 x Balance Sandbag - Unfilled

Customers praised this unfilled sandbag for its sturdy construction, double zippers, and highly visible orange stripes. Reviews highlight "excellent quality" and versatility for stabilizing light stands. Many noted it's perfect for travel as it can be filled on location. Some concerns: rare seam failures and sand leaking through stitching prompted recommendations to use ziplock bags inside.
Very sturdy, i put kitty litter inside freezer bag and the zippers are good quality but not overload them
Honestly, the best thing about this product is purchasing from Strobepro! Once again superior support and delivery. Cant wait to get working with the sandbags at my next session.
i have to say I had just learned about strobepro and i thought i would check them out. i have made 2 orders from them now and have called in to ask questions both times. service has been top notch and extremely helpful. both orders were filled immediately and shipped right away. 1 province away and package was there in 2 days. nothing but great things to say about this company
I love this bags, it's built solid and holds well any weight you add in it, it could be sand or weights. It has sturdy double zipper which is a plus
Does what it should
Excellent. Would definitely purchase again from them
We have used these sandbags for years and love them. Was on a recent shoot with other professional photogs and videographers and they loved that we had extra bags (cuz they were able to borrow some) and that they looked so good!! Two Pro Tips for you. 1) Always double bag the sand and 2) Don't use sand!! See if you can find someone who is getting rid of a fish tank and use the dried out tank gravel. (Or buy it new) The rocks don't have sharp edges so they wont cut the bags like sand does. BOOM - YOU'RE WELCOME!!
Very easy to use!
so far the item is great and I will order more in the future
Good quality and highly visible. Filled with play sand mine weigh about 7.5 kg, which is enough for most purposes (you may want two for heavy strobes and stands). Use zip-lock bags for the sand to make your life easier and keep things clean!
These sandbags were affordable and look cool with the orange stripes- plus less of a safety hazard on set. StrobePro staff are always helpful when picking out items.
My experience with purchasing from StrobePro was excellent! Their merchandise is of top quality, pricing is fair and there service is #1. I wouldnt hesitate to purchase again from them.
A pretty accurate description. NASA-grade zippers! Works just fine.
Sturdy construction, no fuss filling sand into zip lock bags then inserting into sandbag, highly visible and the look great too!
Excellent produit. Le sac est robuste et le remplissage avec du sable est facile.
not bad at all!
This is a high quality sandbag; the construction and stitching is extremely robust. I like the fact that each side of the bag has two zippers - an inner and an outer. I filled mine with a total of 15 pounds of aquarium gravel inside zip freezer bags, and it works great. I'll be ordering more of these for sure!
I mean, as the description says, it's a sandbag. They seem like they'll hold up to some abuse. The burnt-orange stripes are actually quite pretty. Much nicer than the product shots indicate. The caribiners it comes with aren't exactly load-bearing, but they're stronger than the clips I've seen with most sandbags if you want to use them as a counterweight on a boom. I bought 6 and double-ziplocked sand for a few, pea gravel for the others. It fit a doubled medium-size freezer bag with 5 pounds on each side of the saddle, making each of my sandbags 10 pounds total. I'd say it could safely hold 6 and 6 on either side for 12 pounds total if you wanted. I plan to get more of these with my next Strobepro order. You can never have enough sandbags.
Ships fast, product seems of good quality. Zipper does a weird thing but isn't detrimental.
Great product. I dropped a couple metal dumbbell weights into the bag instead of sand. Works perfectly.
Works perfectly.
GreAT Thanks peter than the fixed bags i have i can load them up with sand and then empty them hen traveling, Thanks
Good price, good product, would have been more expensive to build one myself and this one looks and feel good.
The Balance Sandbag is sturdy and well-constructed. No issues from purchasing to delivery...definitely would purchase again.
The sandbags do exactly what they are meant to... hold enough sand to weigh down a light stand, easily visible with the striping, and the double zippers ensure the sand stays inside. Nothing fancy but a solid product. Would definitely buy again.
Sandbags are always in need to help keep your lights upright. This is the second batch we have ordered from Strobpro. Had the blue ones before and now they have the orange ones - love that because it matches our company colours!!! User tip, buy a box of large ziplock bags, and a bag of small rocks not sand. Double ziplock bag the rocks and you won't have any issues with spilling sand onsite or in your studio. Never had an issue with these bags - just done overfill them - had a bag split on me because of that.
$15 sandbag - what is not to love! I like this better than my $75 Manfrotto one.
I bought this sandbag 3 months ago. It looked like good quality when I received it. Unfortunately its not!! After filling the bag with sand and using it on my location shoots I noticed within the first week that the sand was leaking through the seams. So I double bagged the sand in hiqh quality zip-lock plastic bags and reinserted them into the sandbags, hoping this would help keep the sand in! After 3 months of use I noticed yesterday that one of the bags has a hole worn right through the canvas!! Really! After only 3 months!! Sorry but this bag is made of poor quality materials. My previous bags I bought from a popular store in Toronto lasted 20 years! Yes 20 years and they're only now showing signs of leaking!! It seems like products built today are meant to be disposable. Very disappointing!
It's a sandbag, the stitching is good, and the zippers are hidden. I just wish the colors weren't so... Visible.
Time will tell if I get any leaks. My older (high quality) bags lasted 20 years without leaks!
the seem on the handle ripped.
Sandbag was exactly as described, double-zippers are perfect.
