Silicone Fender for Godox AD200 Pro

I like the design of this fender for protection but also as a stand for uplighting when you need it in a tight spot. However, I have an older AD200 and thought what the heck I'll give it a try. Not only does it fit very well it doesn't block any vital ports or buttons. I have included some photos of it installed to check out for yourself.

I am very happy with the product. The silicone material is durable and gives the flash a solid, non slip grip.

Fits my flash snugly and at the same time does not block any access to the screen and the buttons. Bought it for some peace of mind since I have already dropped the flash once.

Before I dropped my AD 200 pro and broke the battery holder that is. I recently bought two, for the older AD 200 Pro (which does still work with a bit of tape) and the newer II version, and think the fender will provide a good buffer for future "oh no's!"

An add-on like the Silicone boot is something that Godox should have built into their AD200 Pro flash. These are portable units that are taken out on location or into the field, so are subject to more risks from bumps and being dropped than in the studio.

The back end display is particularly vulnerable to serious damage, based on how the unit has been designed. The boot is something that I highly recommend, given the problems it solves. It makes accessing the controls a bit more difficult than using it without the boot.

These work great

First off, these rubbery (yet substantial) fenders also fit the rear of the original, non pro AD200. When I first bought the AD200, the advice that I was given was that I should consider the units to be irreparable if broken. The most likely cause of breakage would be a drop that affects the rear control panel. These bumpers protect that end of the AD200 while still allowing access to the rear controls (1.5 cm from control panel to end of fender), off/on switch, battery access and release and IR receiver. As a bonus, the AD200 can now stand upright. Makes the unit slightly more bulky when packing, but the bumpers are easily removed/replaced if you want to pack several units together. I consider them to be cheap insurance against breakage. If I had more flash units, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a silicone bumper for each.

I bought this item to protect a Godox AD200 strobe in the event of a drop. So far that hasn't happened, but I feel pretty confident in the ability of it to protect the strobe.

I just received my silicone fender. It went on perfectly and gives the AD 200 a really nice little bit of protection. It has a more sturdy feel. I love my AD 200 even more!
