For the Big Stuff
Looking to boom out a heavy mononlight with a 60" octabox? This heavy duty boom has the reach and the strength to handle your heaviest payloads on your most ambitious shoots!
All Steel Construction
Avoid those nervous expressions on set. All steel construction makes this boom resistant to bowing, and virtually indestructible. Knobs and levers are all grippy and reliable. It can hold up to 22 pounds extended.
Tons of Reach
With a boomable length of up to 8 feet, the Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom goes the distance. It makes a perfect companion for your C Stand when the standard boom isn't enough.
Adjustable Fulcrum Point
The fulcrum point can be moved anywhere along the first section of the boom. Pull it back to get some more reach, or use a more forward position for easier counterbalancing with the included sandbag.
180 Degrees of Rotation
The Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom can point straight up, straight down (if that's your thing), or anywhere in between!
Flattened Mounting Point
Just like Strobepro Spigots, the fixed baby pin on the end of the Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom has a flat on one side to nest your mounting screw. This prevents unwanted rotation from your light.
Balance Sandbag Included
Because gravity is a heartless [insert expletive here], be sure to fill this up to balance your payload! It hangs from the opposite end of the boom on a secure clip.
The Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom is meant to be mounted on a secure baby pin, such as what is found on the Strobepro Big C Stand. It can be mounted on a standard spigot, but extra care should be taken to ensure your payload is properly counterbalanced to prevent any unnecessary torque if you choose to do this. Only heavier duty stands of similar steel construction are recommended.
Please note that the light mounting section is also a baby pin, and certain strobes with shallow spigot receivers like the Strobepro X600ii and Godox MS300 will not seat down all the way. The rest of our current strobe lineup will mount without issues, and we are working on a baby pin to standard spigot adapter.

I have used Manfrotto and Avenger booms over the years, and they are both fine, but the build on the Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom is exceptional. There is a flat spot ground into the end spigot, that locks the head in one spot, regardless of the modifier, and the locking plate for the jib is double scored. It just doesn’t move when you tighten it up. I love that when extended, the boom can cover a twelve foot seamless. If you couple it with the head extension, the battery pack helps act as a boom weight and it makes adjustments easy. I have no fear of loading the weight on this boom. I can’t think of a piece of gear in the kit that is more satisfying to use, and it comes at an exceptional price. Thank you!
My experience with Strobepro could not have been better. I spoke to Tracy before I purchased this item from Strobepro. All my questions were answered and I could not be be happier! I am now going to place an other order for items that I need from Strobepro, again I spoke to Tracy and he answered all of my questions for the new items. I am one happy camper.
