Looking to boom out a heavy mononlight with a 60" octabox? This heavy-duty boom has the reach and the strength to handle your heaviest payloads on your most ambitious shoots!
Notice: Our latest iteration of the Heavy Duty Baby boom cannot be mounted into a junior receiver as shown in our video. The design was changed in order to reinforce the female thread used for the spigot mounting screw. We have a limited quantity of the original junior brackets that we can include with your boom upon request. Simply contact us prior to placing your order. hello@stroebpro.com | +1-403-474-9793
Avoid those nervous expressions on set. All steel construction makes this boom resistant to bowing, and virtually indestructible. Knobs and levers are all grippy and reliable. It can hold up to 22 pounds extended.
With a boomable length of up to 8 feet, the Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom goes the distance. It makes a perfect companion for your C Stand when the standard boom isn't enough.
The fulcrum point can be moved anywhere along the first section of the boom. Pull it back to get some more reach, or use a more forward position for easier counterbalancing with the included sandbag.
The Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom can point straight up, straight down (if that's your thing), or anywhere in between!
Just like Strobepro Spigots, the fixed baby pin on the end of the Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom has a flat on one side to nest your mounting screw. This prevents unwanted rotation from your light.
Because gravity is a heartless [insert expletive here], be sure to fill this up to balance your payload! It hangs from the opposite end of the boom on a secure clip.
The Strobepro Heavy Duty Baby Boom is meant to be mounted on a secure baby pin, such as what is found on the Strobepro Big C Stand. It can be mounted on a standard spigot, but extra care should be taken to ensure your payload is properly counterbalanced to prevent any unnecessary torque if you choose to do this. Only heavier duty stands of similar steel construction are recommended.
Please note that the light mounting section is also a baby pin, and certain strobes with shallow spigot receivers like the Strobepro X600ii and Godox MS300 will not seat down all the way. The rest of our current strobe lineup will mount without issues, and we are working on a baby pin to standard spigot adapter.
