Our 10' Auto Air Light Stand II is the toughest in the Auto Air Series (7' and 9' versions available for lighter payloads). It was designed for the shooter who likes the convenience and mobility of collapsing legs but wants the ability to use larger modifiers. I only received the item today, but it looks like a great product and I can't wait to use it. My only concern was the space between the bottom middle of the stand opened when placing on grass or possibly slightly uneven ground. I intend on using outdoors, so hopefully this will not be an issue.

Still getting used to it, I have used it a couple times. So far performed exactly the way I hoped with the auto collapse legs.

I had previously been using the 7.5' Manfrotto air-cushioned stands, but I had problems on multiple occasions with assistants over-tightening them and denting the aluminum poles. This was a pain as the stands would no longer retract and it was expensive to buy replacement parts. However, the tightening system on this new StobePro 10' Auto Air stand is great - it holds very well and cannot be over-tightened / will never dent the poles. Well worth it! I also like the auto deployment feature on the legs as it makes it easier to move the stand around through doorways etc... I would have thought that the auto-deploy legs would have made it more difficult to use a single sandbag as a weight, but as long as the sandbag isn't over-filled, I find that I can drape one over the point where the top of the legs meet the vertical pole and it is secure. My one complaint would be that this stand is so very heavy, but I suppose that is the price you pay for something durable and heavy-duty.

I love Strobepro products in general and loved these stands while they worked.
After a season of wedding photography the air cushioning has stopped working so now it makes squeaky sound while adjusting height (not fun during speeches) and putting is back together is a pain.
They're sturdy and the auto-collapsing feature is a great, such a shame it didn't last the test of time.
Please give us a call at the shop. It sounds like one of your dampeners is damaged internally or just needs to be lubricated. This can sometimes happen when the stands are brought in and out of the cold a lot. It can be fixed.

Love using this stand! Super easy setup and really convenient to move. I use it for my real estate photography so have to move it alot and this is far superior to others I have used. It would have been a 5 star rating but the bag that it comes with is too short. It is almost impossible to fit the stand back in the case; putting stress on the zipper which ended up failing after about 15 uses. Glad to see though that this stand will fit in the Strobepro Ultimate 4 piece bag.

This is a well-built, solid stand I have no hesitation using it with an AD400 and large modifiers. The auto kegs work very well too, making it convenient to move around. Only slight criticism is that its a bit heavier than other similar stands, but thats an obvious trade off for stability and build quality. Will definitely be looking to add other Strobepro stands to my kit in the future.

This stand is totally perfect for anyone that has to move quickly. If you shoot cosplay and stuff like this, youre going to fall in love with that stand. Being able to fold it just by lifting it with one hand is almost magical. Very highly recommended by me and Im difficult to please.

Ive tried flashpoint and cheetah auto lightstands by far this is the best one and the sturdiest and has air dampening!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Love this stand! Although I wish Strobepro would come out with the 7 version for a truly portable off camera photography in situ, this beast is a pleasure to setup and easily relocate without that unwanted step of bending down, balancing the setup, releasing the wing nut, bringing the legs together. its magic! Well done Strobepro.

This 10’ Air Stand is very sturdy for this style of light stand. I found the leg mechanism a little problematic when just moving it a slight distance though as the legs keep folding up. Maybe I’m going something wrong.

This was the best purchase I made for my photography. I really like this stand. It was much heavier than I thought it would be, and that’s a good thing. it is solid, durable and I have confidence that my equipment is safe. I bought this because of the videos that were put out by Jesse at Strobepro. It is also the reason why I chose this stand. The features that were mentioned made the stand easy to move around.
