These are incredible C Stands. What I didn’t realize is that they have internal springs, so that if you are lowering a section and your hand slips, they don’t slam down but have a cushioned landing. Like all Strobepro gear, the top stand section has a flat spot ground into the spigot so that when you tighten something on, it can’t spin. That is so important that I can’t figure out why no one else does it. These stands are incredibly robust. I just shot a Gallery for a major streaming platform and needed stands to hold up a 12 foot wide 100’ roll of seamless. These stands were perfect; there was no need for Mambo’s. That makes it a much easier proposition for me with transportation and weight. I really couldn’t be happier with these stands… well, maybe if they came with a Rocky Mountain leg, but then I couldn’t remove the post and use them as a low boy… so I guess they are perfect!
