Godox's newest iteration of its popular TT685 speedlite catches up to the rest of the lineup with the new menu design, quick-lock hot-shoe mechanism, and improved tilt-angles.

While the TT685ii will not recycle as quickly as its lithium-powered cousins, some still appreciate the AA standard for the ease of finding replacement batteries. The TT685ii comes in at a lower price-point than the V860iii flashes.
The built-in 2.4GHz radio receiver offers full power control and triggering without the need for an attached receiver. Just a single radio transmitter is all you’ll need to have full control over all your Godox flash units. Use your flash on-camera, off-camera, or as a radio master!
The menu system has received an overhaul to be quicker and more intuitive. Particularly improved is the radio master interface, allowing you to easily control other Godox flashes and strobes from the TT685ii's rear display.
A minor complaint with the first-generation TT685 was the somewhat fiddly wheel-lock for its hot-shoe. The TT685ii has a simplified button and lever style lock that will speed things up for you.
TTL mode allows your Sony camera to automatically set the power and zoom of the flash.
High Speed Sync allows you to shoot shutter speeds up to 1/8000s. Perfect for freezing action and giving you full control of the ambient light, even in the bright midday sun.
The huge 20-200mm zoom range allows the flash to push light as far or wide as you'd reasonably want to. Flip out the wide-angle diffuser, and your 20mm zoom will spread to 14mm.
The TT685ii brings added flexibility to the tilt and swivel mechanisms. Swivel from 0 to 330 degrees horizontally, and tilt from -7 to 120 degrees vertically.
