The honeycomb grid is extremely useful for controlling light spill and for preventing lens flare, especially when used for backlighting or rim lighting.
This honeycomb grid attaches with hook & loop fastenings to the lip of our umbrella softboxes.
As with all honeycombs, there is some loss of light compared to the softbox without a honeycomb fitted. Tests show this to be in the region of just 1 - 1.1 stops of light when used straight in front of the subject.
Designed to fit Strobepro 12x55" Rapid Pro folding softbox.

I ordered the softbox along with a Profoto Speedring. It's indeed very quick and easy to set up. Due to a manufacturing defect, the speedring couldn't quite fit around my light. I contacted Profoto and they shipped a replacement to me right away. Very happy with the product and the service (great responsiveness, no hassles).
Well built strip box. Nice diffusion using internal diffuser. Bonus points for a decent fitting egg crate to keep stray light from bouncing around small spaces if needed. Bought 2 and would buy more if needed.
I often use stripboxes behind the subject and aimed slightly towards camera so having a grid to use when necessary is essential. Great fit!
I purchased one of these strip boxes earlier this year and it works so well I had to get another one! Great product.
i have 2 - 15 year old chimera super pro medium strip banks. i love using them for rim lights and as main lights. i always wanted to get grids for them but they cost way too much from chimera. when i found out i could use the strobepro grids for it, i was estatic. the strobepro medium strip bank grids are 2 inches narrower and 1 inched shorter than my chimera strip bank. It is $80 to get 2 grids compared to get 2 chimera grids for $800. hands down i will go with the strobepro grids. i lose a little on the ends but it works great overall. so happy and saved a ton of money.
