The softbox was very straightforward to assemble but watch the video on Strobepro’s website first. Jesse offers up some great tips to make it a simple process.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of light coming off of this box. It is soft enough that you could put a cell phone in a bracket in front of the light, and it would be much nicer than a ring light, but we favoured at about a 30 degree angle and had super soft on the face but enough direction for definition and sculpting on the face.
It would cover full body too if you pulled it back, but as a beauty light it was excellent and was bright enough that you only needed to shoot at half power. I might suggest that Strobepro look into a silk front diffuser made from the tungsten balanced material that is out there now to give an inexpensive way to increase the flexibility of this awesome and cost effective light.
