    Low Cost, High Output

The Quadstar LED II Continuous light provides serious bang for your buck.  4 x 23W daylight balanced LEDs kick out some serious juice. The included 32"x32" softbox adds amazing soft diffused light, perfect for photo or video.

    Photo or Video

Perfectly suited for photo or video in any situation. Great for Youtube videos, interviews, green-screen or continuous light for portrait, newborn, and product photos. Balanced at 5500K, the light simulates beautiful daylight.

    Softbox Included

The problem with most continuous lights like LED panels is that they offer no modifiers making the light hard and difficult to control.  With each Quadstar LED II, you get a 32" x 32" softbox to soften the light and easily and effectively. Plus it uses our new crosshatch material for even softer light.

    New LED Bulbs

Our all-new LED bulbs are designed specifically for photo and video.  You won't find any flicker here. The bulbs run cool to the touch. Don't worry about glass because the LEDs are encased in protective plastic shielding. Plus the bulbs are silent and perfect for video. High-efficiency LEDs will also save 90% on power and are rated for 20,000 hours.

    Adjustable Power

Too much power?  No problem, just flip the switch and the power output can be adjusted by 50%. Run two bulbs or all four.

    Color Rendition

These aren't your everyday LED bulbs.  They are carefully produced to have a daylight 5500k colour rendition index of 98, 99 TLCI.

    Umbrella Mount

If you don't want to use the included softbox you can easily switch to an umbrella (sold separately) and fit it to the built-in mount.

    Includes

1 x Quadstar LED II Head
    1 x Power Cable
    4 x 23W (150W equivalent)

    Quadstar LED II

Nice output for video and a great option for shooting newborns over using strobes (which get hot). Great value and fast shipping!

    Quadstar II is great

I now have 3 quadstars. The option to use an umbrella as well as softbox gives me the coverage and brightness I often need.

    Great Service

Good, with the exception of the light box which is difficult to set up.

LED continuous lighting has a place in our studio

We shoot pets. Cats don’t care for strobes and they do anticipate the flash and blink; they also don’t want to be around flashes for very long. Dogs on the other hand have so much energy that a strobe is best. Continuous lighting allows the pupils to shrink so the colourful iris enlarges,,,same for human subjects. Transition to shadows is softer - OK for cats and people but doggy hair needs a harder light. Exposures are longer, ISO’s are hgher due to the fewer lumens available but for modern mirrorless SLR’s this is not a problem for our studio. The build quality of these units ensures a long service life.
